Graduation Requirements

All students should plan a course of study that will increase their post-high school options after graduation. The school counselor can assist with education planning based on individual interests, abilities, and post-high school plans.Any student not meeting these requirements will be ineligible to participate in commencement activities or receive a high school diploma.

Students can earn a NHS diploma by successfully completing a course of study that totals a minimum of 26 credits

General Studies Diploma

English 4 Credits Eng. 9,10,11,& 12
Math 3 Credits
Social Studies 3 Credits - European, US History, 20th Century/Govenment
Science 3 Credits
Health Enhancement 1 Credit - must be split over 2 years
Fine Arts 1 Credit
Career and Technical Education 1 Credit
Personal Business 1 Credit
Electives 9 Credits
Total 26 Credits

College Prep Diploma

Students planning to enroll in a four college program must complete the following credits:

English 4 Credits English 9, 10, 11, & 12
Math 4 Credits Algebra I and higher
Social Studies 3 Credits - European, US History, 20th Century/Govenment
Science 3 Credits - 2 Labs
Health Enhancement 1 Credit - must be split over 2 years
Fine Arts 1 Credit
Career and Technical Education 1 Credit
Foreign Language 2 Credits - (Consecutive Years)
Personal Business 1 Credit
Electives 6 Credits
