Our school will host a Family Literacy Night designed to raise awareness about the profound connection between literacy and poverty. The evening will feature a screening of Sentenced, a documentary that highlights the real-life impact of low literacy on families and communities.
Middle and high school students and parents are encouraged to attend the film screening, while elementary students and young children will participate in structured literacy games and activities.
The evening will conclude with a book-themed dessert display and tasting, celebrating reading and community engagement.
This event reflects our commitment to supporting literacy across all grade levels and strengthening outcomes for students and families.
